Pah, it all looked ok with Salisbury 1-0 up till the 76th min! Well done Cassini , nicely called. My powerstats work on current and past form so its still early really. I use data downloaded from football-data.co.uk , each team has a rating and that rating moves based on results and scores against other teams, the ratings improve based on the teams they are playing so a team beating a highly rated team would get a good boost of their rating, easy huh ? :o) I backtest all this using all the historical data on the site and then rerun it each season based on the previous season. Each league has its own set of triggers as I found that I cant use a blanket set for all leagues, I feel that the lower you go in the leagues the less predictable they are, I think thats why my app seems to like high odds home teams in the conference and will pick some of them out as 'value'.
Heres another for tomorrow anyway, lets see how it goes:
Back Eastbourne at home to Stevenage at odds more than 3.45
We even have the luxury of this game being in play!
Currently slightly down on the horses but have a couple more races to play.
Welcome back to MOM, check out his high risk staking plan which is currently paying great dividends but not for the feint hearted ;o)
Hi - I looked at the Eastbourne v Stevenage game tomorrow and I think this is one game where my rating process needs more time. At the current ratings, Eastbourne are value, but as they are in free-fall right now, I can't bring myself to back them. I do have a soft spot for Eastbourne having spent many weekends down there in my twenties looking for girls in the Saturday night disco on the pier there, but that's probably not a good enough reason to back them. If I had to bet, it would be a lay of Eastbourne. Good luck!
