Strange weekend betting wise for me. Both Saturday and Sunday started off in great fashion and by early afternoon on both days the profit/loss was looking very healthy, unfortunately on both occasions the profit just got whittled away hour by hour gradually becoming a loss. Frustrating, but I've seen the pattern happen before and it's just one of those things you have to put up with when running automated applications.
The original in play football app is still holding up well but I'm not sure about the new one I've introduced. It is offering poor value in certain markets and laying at short odds most of the time, typically it tends to be swimming against the tide i.e going against the big clubs, going against goals when everyone else is looking for goals etc. So when you're looking for a low scoring game with the the likes of Real Madrid/Barcelona etc you know you're going to end up with long losing runs laying odds sub 1.1x. It would only need one, maybe two of these to come in and the app would be nicely up, it's just a case of seeing how long it'll be before that happens. My worry is that laying at those sort of odds you are betting against two types of people, the first is someone desperately trying to buy money and chasing their losses, the second type are the 'shrewdies' out there, quite happy to lump on sub 1.1x odds knowing they are still getting value. I can only hope, it's the first type of person that takes most of my trades!
A poor weekend for the M3 selections with all 3 failing, nothing much to say, just one of those weekends. They are running at a return of 21.8% Return On Investment at the moment, a very healthy return still after 66 bets.
My forays into pre-race horse trading continue to remain in the testing phase as I now just tend to leave the app running and logging data rather than using actual money.
Will post any M3 selections up as and when they are flagged up this week.
