Nice to get a comment on the blog at last, seems as if anything I post falls on deaf ears most of the time! Just a pity that the person leaving the comment - 'Usp' (wonder what that stands for ?) wasn't able to elaborate a little more on his compelling and incisive remark consisting of 'Did u ever make money ur selections r rubbish most of the time.'
What Mr Usp's comment has done is make me finally update the ROI (that means Return On Investment for the likes of Mr Usp) for the M3 Selections.
Since I restarted them in early December last year there have been 50 selections and these have produced an ROI of 21.9%, not to shabby and a smidge under the 23.57% predicted ROI based on stats from the previous 5 seasons. Unfortunately I am not too sure whether the likes of Mr Usp have any understanding of things like long term ROI, probably just looking for the next guaranteed 'lump on' job.
If Mr Usp had also read my previous posts (and to be fair there hasn't exactly been many this year) he will have also noted that I pointed out in mid-February that the M3 selections were returning a totally unsustainable 44% ROI and a dip was very likely, the weekend just gone was just that dip as 7 selections all failed, but that's the game we play. Anyone who doesn't understand and accept losing runs will struggle making any sort of profit on a regular basis in my opinion.
Moving on. Apart from the M3 selections it was a pretty successful weekend for my automated systems. The original in play football trading app just about broke even but the new in play football trading app had a fine weekend and put it nicely in profit for the month.
The pre-race horse trading app is still on hold as I try out various new manual strategies, there's no rush with it and the bad weather has meant it's not exactly missing out on an awful lot.

Hello, here's another comment though it's not based on your content. It's just a request to add my blog link to your blogroll. It used to be there once upon a time but I stopped posting for a while so you must have cleared me out along with some others. I'm back posting again so if you don't mind I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks for the comments guys, I was only saying it tongue in cheek really, I'm as bad as the next person for reading blogs and never commenting on them (I use RSS as well)!
The comments are as unrestricted as I can make them, I can never be bothered logging in somewhere to make a comment so I dont have that enabled.
Email address is set to optional, as is URL.

I'll second Dartguru's comment. I'm sure there is a steady stream of silent visitors who like to pop in and see how you're doing. I'm one of them!
There's always a few wankers floating around, but certainly don't be swayed by them.
Keep going and keep contributing to blogland!
BTW, I suspect one of the reasons you're not getting many comments is the insistance on asking for an email address. I don't like being forced to give information just to pass a comment.
Cheers

I wonder if 'rubbish' were based on just this weekend.
As you say, they were probably unsustainable at 44%, but you're in profit for this season, which is no mean feat.
Keep it up, keep up the blogging, it IS read and I apologise for never commenting before. I usually pick it up via Google Reader and am a bit lax in showing appreciation for effort.
