Last night I bought a ticket for the infamous Betfair poor house bus, especially designed for the odds on away backers. I was driving back home (a 4 hour drive) and was listening to the radio, they went through Man Citys team and how strong it was, I had a quick look at their odds on Betfair expecting something ridiculous like 1.2 but I found them at 1.66. I was seduced into a lumpy £100 back of them and as the poor bus neared its final destination, Man City managed to squeak a goal and I alighted the bus happy with my winnings :o)
Those winnings made up for a few losing trades I'd made. I've started getting into trading the goals markets during in play games, at half time the CSKA Sofia v TNS game was still 0-0 so I stuck £20 on over 3.5 goals at odds of 30. At 80 minutes I'd given up on it but Sofia then scored 3 late goals, I never had a chance to quite trade out (lack of liquidity in the market and the fact the game was close to finishing anyway) but a close trade all the same. I did the same in the Man City game but that never looked like coming in. The same strategy went well the night before though in the Belgrade v Anderlecht game and I exited the trade with a profit of £75 (the game actually ended 2-2 after being 0-0 at HT).
It's been a decent enough week really, although the Carrera Football app is currently down -£112 since Monday, it had a cracking weekend last weekend though so no complaints really. The X5 Horse Trading app has been ticking over nicely though, currently up £176 since Monday.
I sent out a test email to all the DB9 Football Selections subscribers today. If anyone is on the list and reading this and haven't received it then drop me a mail or leave a message here.
Quick thanks to those leaving comments, always nice to hear someone is out there and reading this :o)
Till next week now I'd imagine, have a good weekend all.
